What unites the city of Fedora recounted by Italo Calvino and the utopian projects of the Radicals architects of the 1960s?
The dream of a light and transparent city, like soap bubbles, without walls and foundations. A city in which you can discover many others: intelligent because it helps people reduce energy and waste. Playing with light, sound and movement sensors, participants will transform The City of Bubbles into a very special space!
An installation for everyone - children, teenagers and adults - made of transparent recycled materials assembled with self-made 3D printer supports and stands, integrated with digital teaching tools. An innovative way to explore, using creativity and digital technologies, themes and topics of contemporary urban planning, environment and ecology. Smart city, senseable city, smart vehicle, domotics, automation, are words that define the outlines of the cities of the future, yet to be imagined. Inspired by the visions of Italo Calvino and his cities, we have imagined a transparent, intelligent, connected, sensitive one. A play space in which the theories of the architects of the Radicals movement, Calvino's invisible cities and Carlo Ratti's senseable city are visually realised.
«A CITY CAPABLE OF FEELING, BUT ALSO A CITY SENSITIVE AND RESPONSIVE TO CITIZENS»
